Dear Colleagues!

We continue with the main idea from the 1st Symposium, to gather experts dealing with as many different aspects of invasive species as possible. Two years ago, we accommodated over 110 participants from 10 countries. This year we aim to attract even more international participants, having in mind that the only proper way to deal with this problem is to exchange our knowledge, and to act together. The duration of the Symposium will be two full days, in order to accommodate more oral presentations. Time of the year remain the same, enabling the presentation of the most recent collected data.

*You are mostly welcomed to register as early as possible to give us an estimation on the number of potential participants which will help us in the organisation of the Symposium

Presentations

Formatting your Abstract

Abstract should contain objectives, methods, results and conclusion. Be as specific as possible, avoiding purely descriptive and speculative content. At the end of Abstract, add 4-5 keywords (avoid words from the title).
Abstract (without title, authors and their affiliations) should not exceed 250 words. Title should be printed in capital letters. Name of the authors should be write only with initials of first (and middle) names. Do not use academic titles. If different, use number in the superscript to indicate different affiliations of the co-authors. Underline the presenting author.

You can use this template for formatting your abstract. Prior to sending please (re)name your abstract in the format "3CSIS-Abstract-Surname-Name

Abstracts should be sent to this e-mail address till 16 September 2018. In case you haven't received confirmation of abstract submission within 48 hours, please contact Sven Jelaska.

Please indicate on top of your abstract preffered way of your presentation (oral or poster).

Scientific Committee can propose changes of the preferred way of presentation indicated by the authors, in which case these will be discussed with the authors.
Accepted abstracts will be printed in the Book of Abstracts only if registration fee is payed until 31 October 2018. In case of payments after the aforementioned date, we cannot guarantee the inclusion in the Book.

Registration fees

The lower registration fee for regular participant is 40 EUR (300 HRK), while for students, retired and unemployed persons is 30 EUR (225 HRK) - certificate for the particular status is required. After October 31, both fees increase by 10 EUR (75 HRK). Please note, that on-site fee can be paid only in Croatian kunas.
Registration fee includes conference materials (including the Certificate of attendance), and refreshments during the coffee breaks.

If your institution is paying multiple registration fees by single bank transfer (which is mostly welcome to reduce transfer costs), please inform us for which participants particular payments stands for.

VENUE

The Symposium will take place in the Hotel “Dubrovnik”, situated in the very centre of Zagreb (the main city square). The Venue is easily accessible by a number of tram lines directly from the main train and bus terminal. Zagreb airport is connected with the city centre by public transport (bus line 290) which operates every 35 minutes (http://www.zet.hr/en) and with shuttle bus operated by Pleso prijevoz. Within walking distance the Venue is surrounded with a wide array of possible accommodations, from low budget to exclusive hotels. Same goes for the places where you can eat. Therefore, we invite you to invade the heart of the city and explore it all (after the sessions, of course).
